We let Audrie play with the hose the other day. I just think this picture is adorably funny. With her messy hair, down to her onesie & pants, and a look so serious!

Audrie's Private Pool

Yesterday we caught a few good hours outside before another big thunder storm rolled through. We decided that it was good enough weather to test out a swimming pool. Audrie loved it!!! She helped fill it up and slowly but surely grew comfortable to the outdoor bath (not used to the water being so cold) :) We haven't been to the neighborhood pool yet with the weather being so off and on. This private pool will be nice for her to splash in on some of those not so sure days...like today again!

One of those "Just can't resist!" moments!!!

I've been meaning to post these pictures. Audrie loves her doggie. Prince is her little buddy, when she plays nice. She learned to say dog next to mama and dada. I believe it was her third word...lucky for mom it didn't come before her :) She loves to play catch and give him treats when he is a good boy. I love that she has grown up around dogs and has a love for animals.

Audrie's Pebble's pigtail has grown so much. I just couldn't resist to put both of them in matching pigtails and see if I could get a picture of them together. Can you believe I was able to get both of them to "sit"? And Prince was actually easier to get to "stay" :) Don't worry I took the girlie pigtail out of my boy dog's hair before anyone...or any other dog could see!

It was just a TEASE of summer!

Watching a summer storm for the 1st time

We had days of summer last weekend and now it has all gone away. It's windy...rainy...and cold! However, it was an unexpected 1st experience for Audrie yesterday. We were enjoying a nice morning outside, naptime, and then back outside in the afternoon when I thought I heard thunder far away. We were playing together on the porch when it slowly started to rain and the thunder became louder. Audrie hasn't heard thunder before or been out in the rain. I loved watching her feel it hit her arms and head and wonder how she was getting wet. Then when the thunder would boom, she would hurry over to me and I would explain to her what it was. I thought she might be scared of it, but she sat with me and watched for a long time. It was a fun summer storm.

Part 2 - Poor Birdies!

We didn't find this bird and her nest until it started raining...and then it started to rain even harder. We felt so bad because she built her nest totally in the wrong place...our rain gutter with no cover from the wind, rain, or sun. Grant tried to help get some of the water out of the gutter, but it really wasn't much help because it kept raining. She got off her nest at one point and we could see that there are two babies. We hope they make it through all this crazy weather.

joys and blessings I have experienced!

I just love how she reminds us of the wonderful small and simple things. I enjoy trying to see things through her eyes!

Too Girly?

Grant found our blog was getting a little too girly...so as a temporary change, until I find something we both like, here is a the non girly version. Song included...picked by Grant. As if the Suns background wasn't enough during the playoffs....the things I do for him! :)

Audrie is 19 Months

Our little girl is 19 months today! I was working and realized the date was the 6th...time just goes way too fast! I am posting 19 months because when I went to get 18 month pictures taken, Audrie was not interested and I realized that I never got a really good 18 month picture. Oh well! So today we went outside because it was another beautiful day and Audrie sat on one of her favorite rocks and posed away. She is our little sweetie and I can't believe she is closer to 2 than I think I am ready for. As much fun as this is to watch her grow...part of me wants to shrink her. I just love her to pieces! Here's to more laughs, more words (we are just waiting for her to burst out in conversation...it's coming), more joy, & more love! We love you Audrie!!! XOXO

I still like the ones below, but I guess this is the official teaser trailer. It's going to be a good movie. Read the book before December...it's worth it. Thanx Lacey for the recommendation...I am so glad I finally read Twilight (I'll get started on the next one soon) and thanx Colleen for letting me know that trailer came out just a few days after I posted the best I could find :)
